3ivx Technologies Pty. Ltd. is a dynamic Australian Company that has a creative team of MPEG-4 specialists, combined with an international network of software and hardware designers and developers. The Company has various intellectual property on audio and video compression technology.
Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, 3ivx Technologies distributes its products to the Global World, primarily Europe, North America and Australasia.
The core business has become development and licensing of the 3ivx MPEG-4 Technology.
History
In 1991 a company was created in Belgium, as a Think Tank for new technologies. In May 2000 work was initiated to foster the development and commercialization of a specific MPEG-4 compression technology (now known as 3ivx).
The company has been privately funded during the first three years. The funding being used to undertake Research & Development on audio and video compression algorithms and implementation optimizations.
Whilst the previous focus has been almost entirely on Research & Development. The transition from an R&D company to commercialization began at the end of 2002
The operational office for 3ivx, previously in Belgium, until the beginning of November 2002 has now been moved to sunny Sydney, Australia. From this base we are undertaking continued Research and Development as well as Product Marketing. 3ivx MPEG-4 5.0.2 being now ready for distribution.
Products & Services
The core product is the 3ivx MPEG-4 software, a high quality MPEG-4 codec that allows content creators to effectively deliver audio and video at all levels of the video spectrum from High Definition Television (HDTV) down to video for mobile phones and embedded devices.
